How To Set-Up Text Messaging Order Alerts


If your staff is not typically at their Clover device, it's possible they may miss an Online Order.  To help your staff stay connected to new orders coming in, we have the following option.


New Order Text Messages

You can enter up to 3 phone numbers that will receive a text message, when a new order is submitted by a customer through your Online Order app.  


Sample Message:

Online Order Demo Store: New order (#C107) has arrived. Confirm you have received it on your Clover device. Receipt: https://www.clover.com/r/S7226VCXM4WSM


To set-up a phone to receive Order Alerts:

  • From your Clover Web dashboard, open your Online Order app.

  • Click on Store Settings 

  • Click on General

  • Enter the 10 digit phone #, in the Phone 1 field. With the Platinum level subscription plan, you can enter up to 3 phone #s

  • Click anywhere outside the Phone 1 field to Save.

  • Place a test order on your Online Order website to verify that phone number entered does receive a new order alert.


To stop a phone from receiving new order alerts, do the following:

  • From your Clover dashboard, open your Online Order app.

  • Click on "Store Settings" and then click on "General"

  • Delete the phone # that you wish to stop receiving the new order alerts.

  • Click anywhere outside the Phone # box to Save.

  • Place a test order on your Online Order website to verify that phone number deleted no longer receives the new order alerts.
